MODEL 5071BS : Central Station Computer

General Description:

The central station computer hardware is the heart of the automated flood warning system. The latest computer motherboard technology is used with INTEL Pentium processors. High speed cache memory is used to increase processing speed. 256MB RAM is provided on the motherboard. A Super VGA card drives a 17 inch flat screen color monitor to give crisp text and graphic pictures.

The computer is housed in a mini-tower case. With its small footprint it can easily be placed on a desk top or beside a desk. A 3.5 inch high density floppy disk drive and a CD-ROM drive are provided. Additional 5.25 and 3.5 inch bays are available for computer accessories (such as tape backups and removable cartridge disk drives). Two hard drives are provided (size is 40GB or greater) inside the mini tower case. The first drive is the master and the second drive is a backup copy. One serial port and one parallel printer port can be connected to your system decoder and printer.
