General Description:
NovaStar Wide Area Network Communication Software shares central station data and files between multiple central stations computers using Intranet or Internet connections. Data is automatically packaged and sent to alternate central stations as it is received. File information is sent to remote station on timed intervals.
The primary NovaStar central station can have a hot standby backup computer ready to take over operations in case the primary computer fails. By using a high speed local area network, the NovaStar LAN Failover Software maintains two identical databases and parameter files on the primary and backup computer. If the primary computer fails, the backup computer is immediately ready to assume responsibility and control of the system. When the primary computer is restored, the backup computer database and parameter files can be copied back onto it before it regains system control.
Besides providing a hot standby backup, the LAN Failover system also lets you distribute computer processing across the LAN computers. Computer disks, memory and I/O devices can all be used in the NovaStar LAN system to optimize system performance. |
