MODEL 5400P : Satellite Data Concentrator Station
General Description:
HydroLynx Satellite Data Concentrator Stations are complete packaged gauges which
receive ALERT radio data, buffer the data, and transmit it via low earth orbiting
satellites providing an alternate data path to a terrestrial radio repeater system.
The Model 5400P Satellite Data Concentrator Station includes a 50386PCB and ALERT
modem to decode ALERT data reports, an ALERT VHF or UHF receiver, and a 5400 satellite
radio to transmit the data.
ALERT data reports received by terrestrial radio from selected ALERT station IDs
are buffered. The buffered station data is transmitted through the satellite radio
on 10 minute intervals. Data transmissions continue while data reports are received. |
