HYDROLYNX : SERVICES
Training: High quality training is an extremely valuable component in the successful installation,
operation, and maintenance of flood warning systems. Without proper customer training,
the partnership between the vendor and end user will not be as successful. Since
HydroLynx produces a total system, including both hardware and software, we can provide
thorough training in all areas. Systems are installed with both hardware and software
training as fundamental ingredients. Regular training classes are held at our facility
as well as in the field. HydroLynx considers training one of our highest priorities.
Service: HydroLynx realizes that customers need service most in times of dangerous weather
conditions. For this reason, customer service offers emergency response time whereby
our experts monitor via modem a customer's base station computer to ensure its proper
operation. Problems are fixed immediately or a back up system is provided via HydroLynx computers.
Hardware and software service schedules are available which list a complete assortment
of services for the customer. These services cover routine as well as emergency services.
Lists are gladly provided on request. Annual blanket service agreements can be arranged
to suit your exact requirements.
Consulting: In house experts provide both hydrological and meteorological consultation as required
by our customers. The dynamic Sacramento Hydrological Model has been used extensively
by our Senior Staff Hydrologist. Interpretation of Corps of Engineer's models is
also available to determine which model is best suited for a particular application.
Our NovaStar Software can run both the Sacramento Model and various Corps models
under the same scenario to evaluate which model produces the best results. Special
modeling requests are gladly considered.
Field Engineering: HydroLynx Field Engineers cover both domestic and international projects with the
most experience offered by any company. Since the late 1970's, our personnel have
been involved in hundreds of projects including initial engineering, assistance with
ordering equipment and services, installation, training and after-the-sale support.
Our Field Engineers also perform on site service as required for speedy resolution
of aggravating problems, often eliminating the need to return equipment to the factory.
Maintenance: In addition to the maintenance services provided by our field engineers and customer
service personnel, HydroLynx offers both scheduled and emergency maintenance. Routine
transmitter repairs are usually fixed at the factory within five working days. Emergency,
same day service is also available for most equipment. Maintenance at the project
site is offered either on a scheduled basis or on demand. Annual maintenance contracts
are recommended to cover these services.
Installation: Installation is an optional service available to any customer. This service can
be provided in various levels.

Level One-Turnkey Installation: Turnkey installation service makes HydroLynx responsible for the entire project,
from application engineering to startup. This service is recommended for customers
who have a limited capability of field service personnel or, for those who want the
maximum in convenience and/or vendor liability.

Level Two-Installation Supervision: Installation supervision is available for customers who have a field service staff
but who want HydroLynx expertise onsite for technical advice based on previous experience,
etc. This service is recommended for any customer who can participate in the installation
process. It provides additional hands-on training for the customer and reduces the
overall cost of installation services.

Level Three-Partial Installation: The customer may want to perform the installation of the hardware but subscribe
to HydroLynx installation of the base station and software system. This service is
recommended for customers with capable field service personnel, but who would rather
rely on HydroLynx expertise in the computer and software area. Cost of installation
services is further reduced by this option. This level of service by HydroLynx ensures
proper operation of the system or calls in additional service personnel on an "as
needed" basis from the factory to complete a successful and timely system startup.
In many cases, the level of installation service is left up to the recommendation
of our staff based on their experience and the particular application. One of the
above services is usually just right for a given project.
